New Head-Fier
Pros: ANC is excellent for price
Comfortable
Sounds great once EQ is applied
Good battery life
Cons: A bit dated now compared to competition
Treble even after EQ is still a bit rough

A good entry level ANC headphone can be made better with measurements

This was my initial Soundcore headphone, it was (and still is) a very cheap fully featured ANC bluetooth...

100+ Head-Fier

Cons: Can struggle to give as much detail with fast paced tracks that are heavy in the lower end, loss of rear depth in exchange for front depth and width...

1000+ Head-Fier
Pros: Natural and sensory bass at the low end. This ensures realistic bass reproduction, as well as power, volume, good control and texture.
- Projected, leading female vocals.
- Clear, vivid and sparkling upper-midrange.
- Good technical performance, with remarkable definition and resolution, separation and scene size.
- Good set of accessories for its low price.
- Design inherited from much more expensive models, with the same level of construction and ergonomics as those models.
- The cable is very acceptable and does not scream "change me" from the first moment.
Cons: Unevenness in the midrange, the first half is lean and feels distant.
- First treble is nuanced and less homogeneous.
- If the whole ensemble offered a more rounded profile with fewer peaks and valleys, the sound would be superior and less polarised.

100+ Head-Fier
Pros: Spectacular for relax sessions, some classicals musics, vocals genres....
Good resolution.
Very good dynamics.
It has good spatial technicalities (although there are few ones already here for similar prices equal or better)
The midrange seems to be the best I have heard on a closed back.
I think it's very pretty.
Cons: It does not have a pure or natural tone.
It is not the most versatile headset on the market. I wouldn't consider it an "all-rounder."
It needs a little more dB to be more complete on bass department.
In 2024 there are MANY options, like the Hifiman R9 (better tonality, scene and bass impact).

Owners will typically want to replace the cable, experiment with different ear pads, and use a headband cover during the course of their long ownership of this headphone. I say long ownership because they are built to last and they will. I'd start with the headband cover, because the underside of the headphone tends to get soiled in an unsightly way the more it is used.

The cable I can use is the "new" version from Focal. Before, they had a thicker and more rigid cable by default.
Regarding the pads, I'm not a fan of that. And even less at these prices. Spending €500 or the €1000 it was worth to have to change the pads and experiment, I don't think it's fair. There will be those of us who will gladly do it but I don't see it well. The changes are very subtle.
Yes Yes. In the Focal Clear the top of the headband also gets stained.

Thanks for comment.

100+ Head-Fier
Pros: It has is "own" sound profile.
Versatile iem (Very good for jazz, vocals and relax themes).
Is the update I was looking for from the Oh10.
An iem to listen to for hours without getting tired.
Great note weight.
Quite musical sound.
Good voices, both male and female.
Good modular cable.
Cons: With so many new options, perhaps at €500 it is a bit overpriced.
Lacks treble extension.
I would like a few extra dB in highs.
Timid subbass.
The tonality is sometimes not the most realistic but it feels pleasant.

500+ Head-Fier
Pros: -Exceptional build quality
-Absolutely gorgeous design
-One of the more comfortable shell designs
-Unboxing / Accessories
-Clean, resolute and wonderfully natural timbre
-Very well balanced across the mix
-Tight, expedient, and textured low-end
-Oh the midrange! Vocals, vocals, vocals!
-Treble is open, airy and extended nicely
-Soundstage is wide, tall and deep
-Imaging / Layering of sounds is very nice for a single DD
-Details retrieval is also very nice
Cons: -Warm, dark, thick lovers will want to keep looking
-There is some shout on the right tracks if you are sensitive to it
-Fingerprints and smudges show up easily on shells & faceplates
-The Origin shell can develop hairline scratches over time (con?)
-Not exactly a “fun” sound per se
-Bass bois won’t get excited over the Origin
-Tuning nozzles affect almost no change in the sound

What an exciting time for single DD fans. I had the EA1000 and the Falcon Ultra at one stage, I kept the EA1000 because it has more defined and textured bass. But now I miss the Falcon Ultra’s euphoric sound, better imaging and less cramped soundstage. I think it’s impossible to clearly say which is better, or to say which can replace the other. I think the same applies to the Origin.

@zeissiez that was perfectly put. I completely agree with you. The Falcon Ultra is a special iem with its own flavor to the sound and it's right up there with the rest of them. This hobby is RICH in great single DD's at the moment, that's for sure.

Another great review Mr. Chris, so I was wondering is the a replacement to the Oxygen? so how's upper/treble region forward/spicy/sparkle/airy/extended?, I was wondering if I should I get the Dunu Falcon Ultra the blue version or the Origin?

@Redcarmoose;

Incredible and suggestive entry. Although very subjective, as always. Consulting with a trial error master is always convenient. It could be better than the NEO3?🤔 Everything stays at home.😉

With patience and a lot of reading I will have my small and coherent collection of extremely portable digital audio...I love small things.

Thanks!

100+ Head-Fier
Pros: Unique tuning that is neither too forward or too laid back in approach
Despite what the graph says, a healthy and tight bass response
Very small shells, fit should be easy for most people
(For me) Details and resolution are ahead of the pack
Very Natural mid-range, vocals sound lovely
Warm and easy to listen to
Top tier upper-mid-range for the price point
Cons: Treble is a bit laid back and safe
Rolled-off sub-bass is apparent
Might be boring for most folks
Vocals might be too laid back for some
Unboxing experience and accessories leave a lot to be desired
SLIGHT BA timbre
Okay, here we are. The first post in this new project of mine. Going through my entire collection, diving deep, taking photos, and doing proper comparisons. Again, this really isn’t for anyone...

100+ Head-Fier
Pros: Very good incisiveness with transients
Not quite typical Harman
Above average detail retrieval and resolution for price bracket
Treble extension
Fantastic fit and isolation for my ears
Sharp and industrial design
No tuck, lower mid-range is sufficiently warm and full
Layering and instrument separation
BA timbre is kept to a minimum
Cons: Mid bass and Sub bass is lacking on most tracks
Upper mid range is somewhat fatiguing
tuning is a bit 'safe' - some would call it boring
Some tracks have some BA timbre

Much cheaper than the TSMR-X
With similar sound design

Perfect for media and outdoor use
Outstanding rumbly deep reaching tactile bass

Bass that stays away from the mids
Versatile sound tuning.
Due to less treble emphasis vs prior TSMR IEMs
The included cable actually synergizes with it.
Bass only engages when called for.
Price.
Cons: Short nozzle- requires some tip rolling

The appeal of these I can understand. At the price point there will not be too many that will top these for bass engagement. These are what I hoped the old GR07s should have been. I think if I didn't have the TSMR-X already these would be a no brainer but they have their own appeal.

I quote
"Folks that have never heard a Tansio Mirai IEM before and you're a bass fan, these might be a good place to start. For the guys that own the TSMR-X do you need to get this one? Nope not really. Well that is unless you feel the need to get a more simpler bass driven version of the TSMR-X for out and about. And or your just a huge fan of what Tansio Mirai has been cooking up lately and have to have them all."

New Head-Fier
Pros: - Bass quality and quantity are presented very well along with the "rumble" from the bone conductor.
- Beautiful IEM design and more than enough accessories in the box for its price range.
- Suitable for bass enthusiasts.
- Suitable for people sensitive to treble.
- Excellent soundstage and clarity in its price range.
- Suitable for EDM, rock, and pop songs.
Cons: - Need to find suitable eartips for a better fit.
- Midrange is slightly shouty, especially in female vocals, and dry in male vocals for some songs.
- Upper treble power is very minimal, so it is overshadowed by bass power.
- Not for treble enthusiasts.
- Not for acoustic, jazz, and vocal-centric songs.
For those who have been in this hobby for a long time, they must be familiar with the Kinera brand. Yes, this is the brand that is easily noticed because almost all of its IEM faceplates...
