I have just bought zen can signature 6xx that I am using to power my headphones (Oppo PM-3).
I use my oppo 203 (as my DAC) set to down stream from 7.1 to stereo and set to dual output on audio.Connected directly to the zen and HDMI to my AV(so I still get atmos etc on my marantz NR1606 via 7.1 Kev surround speakers ).I don't stream.
I thought of the zen dac but I have no need for it as the 203 is adequate.
The oppo 203 I uses to play cds Flac from HD or movies.
I bought an head phone amp so my wife can enjoy the tv and I can listen music on my headphones in peace.
The difference between the NR1606 and the zen is amazing.
Pink Floyd mother is like listening a new track.Neil Young Sleeps with angles is like hearing crazy horse play in your head.
The acoustic Leveller new album sent shivers down my spine,
I did find the HD6xx function made the oppo pm-3 sound warmer and less harsh on certain tracks as for the X space button,I could not make my mind up if I liked it or not.Bob Marley Stir it up sound better with it on but the waterboys Room to roam was better with out.In fact it was very good.
I'm now wondering if the hd 6xx would be a big improvement on my pm-3 as my pm-3 are getting tired or should I buy a more expensive pair I could stretch up to £700.I do like planetary headphones.
Would it be worth the upgrade or should I stick with the oppo's?

Hello..I have a question if someone can help me...I can I plug 2 headphones on zen can signature...for example 660s in the balanced output and maze 99 on the se output?

Would they be outputting together?
Same question but it is the zen dac signature in my case. Will the sound be effected if I use both rca and bal 4.4 at the same time? I see that the ipowerX is a 5v 3a adaptor . the rca out is at 2v and 4.4 is at 4v so I am pretty sure that it pass the limit of adaptor's supplements. Maybe will be there a volt-ample converter here?

Surprised that ifi hasn't responded here. I have a Zen Can Signature HD6XX but have only used it either balanced or single ended.
I would think you could run both balanced and single ended headphones at the same time but that output power would be reduced
accordingly. I would see if you could call ifi to speak with someone in their technical department who can give you a more definitive answer.
IME, the Zen Can Signature HD6XX is a really nice sounding headphone amplifier. I use it with a Zen Dac Signature version one
to power Sennheiser HD600's and HD6XX's, and there's a nice synergy here. Best of luck. 😊

Apologies, I did not see the question.

I have done this in the past myself with no issues, using Power X at the time and I do not remember having any issues, on either "headphones line" or rear outputs.

That being said, I would still shoot out a question to support and ask for some more guidance than I have, just to be sure.

I cannot see any difference between this and my signature Zen can hd6xx. Both exterior and interior of the amp. Can you elaborate more? Tks

My local retailer has a "limited edition" signature now listed for mid-Oct delivery

How is this special edition ?

This appears to be the new Zen Can Signature ("universal" amp, a departure from headphone specific versions).

Was hoping for some input by iFi.
Given the inflationary pressures over the last few years a price rise is not unreasonable, however with iFi's track record of constant improvement I'd be surprised if nothing has changed.

I only have a standard Zen Can at the moment. Was thinking of getting another for the office which then has moved on to getting a signature and relegating my standard one to the office..

I have asked iFi here and here to present the specs of the regular Zen CAN and Signature ZEN CAN side by side (table form) to facilitate comparison of the changes / improvements.

Have been ignored on both occasions, so I reckon that the differences are not significant (I may be wrong).

I'm sorry not my intention to ignore, I honestly just didn't see it, or I did and blanked it, so that's on me, lol

I am going to ask about this, as my understanding is that there have been some internal component upgrades, and of course the fact that there isn't any specific tuning for particular cans in this one.

I believe the power is the same, but if I have any major differences to report other than what was mentioned above I will do my best to get back here and update.

Apologies again...

Cheers!!

Bubba
