(Note: * =Alpha version for reviewer's assessment. ** = Final tuning release, this one will be available and sold in the market.)

Balanced-neutral sounding audio afficionados, This is something to look forward to. Introducing the Yuan Li, The first product release by TForce Audio, a new audio company that was recently established in China. It's pricing starts at US$119/ £85 but if you do preorder from online stores with official partnerships with Tforce Audio, you can get it for US$99/ £71. Tforce Audio is made up of personnel who have years of experience in audio tuning and producing high quality dynamic drivers to other audio brands as this will be the testament of their product excellence. I've been waiting on them to release their very first product since I received some infos about this new company.

20210816_170201.jpg

Yuan Li as the first product of Emperor series IEM of TForce Audio, Its namesake is based on Yuan Li, the first emperor of Tang Dynasty. We history buffs knows how cultural sophisticated the Tang Dynasty was and its contribution among the world's advanced civilization.

20210804_145012.jpg

Yuan Li has a single Dynamic Driver set up, It uses a proven and high regarded dynamic driver technology, a Diamond Like Carbon coating on the diaphragm to add rigidity and delivers a better lower distortion rate.

20210816_170207.jpg

The unboxing experience on Tforce Yuan Li is somehow gives you some sense of premium and luxurious ambiance as how it present and defines its product as a high quality one. The box sleeve has this black, gold and some red colour accent with an eastern dragon with clouds design in gold tinge on the left side while on the right side has this more darker inky black calligraphy, a red Yuan Li with square border print and some infos and designs in gold and red as these choices of colours were historically known to be Tang dynasty's shade aesthetics. The box itself is in black colour and has this kind of door-like opening magnetic latch. The contents are the IEMs, a gorgeous looking faux-crocodile skin leather case, a pair of black memory foam ear tips.a three (3) pairs of wide bore tips white tips of different sizes , another three (3) pairs of narrow bore eartips of different sizes too and a premium golden brown 2-core 6N litz cable (I'll be using a medium size, black narrow bore ear tips in this review.) And some paperworks like warranty cards, a high quality paper for display and ad infos cards.

20210816_165627_HDR.jpg
20210816_165653_HDR.jpg

The Yuan Li's shell is made of aviation- grade aluminium in a shiny polished finish that screams luxury and finesse. It has 2- pin recessed connector that it is more flexible and less hassle if you are planning to replace the stock cables with other cables. It has a vent hole near towards the nozzle to release an air pressure built inside to give a better "breathing" on its DD's diaphragm. The fitting of this set is somewhat a bit shallow in my medium-size ears but suprisingly it really gives good sealing and isolation within my lug holes.

20210804_145006.jpg

When it comes to scalability, I gave it a fair score as Yuan Li are a little bit choosy on sources particularly on smartphones. LG smartphones with Hi-Fi quad DACs and older smartphones with good hifi DAC/amp doesn't have any trouble and can drive Yuan Li to its fullest potential. Even entry-level DAPs will probably drive this set well. You need a DAC/Amp contraption like USB Dongles and miniature amps if your smartphones have a mediocre sound output.

20210804_140736.jpg

Now I explained about this set's sound signature, it is "balanced-neutral"tonality with some boosted parts on bass region, linear and translucent mids and good shimmer treble.

20210804_144733.jpg

I'll do the description on each characteristics of sound in different audio spectrum based on my hearing perception.

LOWS/BASS:

I have a great expectations on DDs when it comes to bass response and Yuan Li didn't failed me and I even more like on how its bass quality sounds like. Its is an impactful, sustaining and punchy as you will feel it density note. It has a good reach on sub bass as it will truly has that reverberate depth. Mid bass has a good texture as it bass kicks will truly show its authoritative slam and growl and roaring sound of a bass guitar. Despite of some boost in the lows, it doesn't smudge nor bleed on the other audio spectrum. It has good speed of transient on decay.*

The bass quality of Yuan Li (Final) is more tighter than the alpha version. The sub bass is still present as it has that grumbling sound but the transiences and decay of bass speed is quite fast and rolls off promptly. The midbass quantity is noticeably deducted yet it was still on the well-textured side on the weight note. Bass kicks still retains some its dynamic, thumpy impactfulness and pounding and Bass guitars sounds consistently on sustaining roar and growl nature.**

MIDS

As an audio enthusiast that loves a midcentric tuning. I should say that it is clean, well-textured and smooth. Male vocals sounds has a right amount on density note to sound well-rounded, rich and deep especially those have baritone voice, female vocals are even more pronounce as their vocals ranges are well-define and scintillating. Vocals and instruments has a good distinction on one another as you can hear the disparate of each timbre. Acoustic guitar, piano and violin sounds more vibrant, rich and crisp as they really sound more life-like and very emotionally appealing to hear.*

The mids of Yuan Li final are smoother, well-defined textured and natural. It still retains its translucency. They are actually one of the best rendered vocal reproduction on a single DDs in under $200 range. The male and female vocals sounds even more consistent and in coherent nature as both reach the ideal vocal ranges on their perspective aspects. The male vocals has this sonorous emotion as you will feel its fullness while female vocals in any style of singing is crisp and well-defined on its clarity. Some instruments are sounds even organic and even more pleasing as feel the plucking of each chord of a guitar string, the sweetness and somehow in a little bit round of mellowness of a piano tone, the vibrant and lustrous sound of violin and the brazeness sound of a wind instrument like trumpet and saxophone. Such timbre quality of each vocals and instruments are definitely differentiated and precise on each attribute.**

HIGHS/TREBLE

The quality of the treble is on clarity with a good sparkle on the brilliance part. I sense that it has upper mids peak to add its sound quality with more crisp and incredible detail retrieval energy for a dynamic driver. Sibilance is particularly absent. There is a slight concern that in some tracks, the mix is a little bit excessive on being too gleaming that overly treble sensitive individuals might hear it as harsh but for me they are alright on my treble sensitivity threshold. This set has decent extension on airiness on presence. Cymbals , chimes and xylophones are somehow well-rendered but somehow feels a lack of shimmer especially on hi-hats.*

The difference between the Alpha version and Final version is that the uppermids is somehow less peaky and more smoother as it delivers a more pleasant and relaxing listening pleasure. The smoothen uppermids does not mean that it is either subdued or veiled but you instantly au courant its less shimmer and sparkle quantity for the better well-balanced and articulate tonality to overall frequency spectrum. The sibilance of this set is non-existent one. The airiness of its presence treble region still on an average range which means a on a bit on roll-off side as I notice the cymbals strike and crashes are less sizzled and glistening in my treblehead rating.**

SOUNDSTAGE and IMAGING

Soundstage is more on above average on width, more defined reach on depth and height dimensions. It has a decent enough of space on each instrument and vocals to be perceive has a good mark on separation. Imaging and layering is just decent as DD provided a more linear directional spatial cues and enough to perceive the placement of instruments and singers.

As I concluded this review, Yuan Li has a potential to be one of the best single DD in 2021 as it offers a hard to beat price ratio performance due to its fantastic choice of aesthetics designs, well-crafted and selection of choice materials to be use in crafting this set and good balanced- neutral tuning as they stay faithful to the design philosophy of Tang dynasty vibe. It is also an all-around IEM contender ready to be in a mano-a-mano bout with other competitors even in $200 price range.

20210803_143757_HDR.jpg

Hello mates and welcome to my IEM review here in Head-fi, I have a new product from See Audio, The See Audio Bravery as I am part of a reviewing tour of See Audio Bravery in Asia.

20210803_143217.jpg

The See Audio Bravery is actually a collaborative effort between See Audio and the audio community by choosing a design faceplate and tuning based on the vote rates from the collective order of audio enthusiasts.

20210803_143122.jpg
20210803_143055.jpg

20210803_143135.jpg

The See Audio Bravery is an all Balanced Armature setup IEM, It has a four (4) balanced armatures consist of a pair of woofer BA from Knowles and a mix of tweeter BAs from Sonion for mids and upper mids and Knowles for treble . It has also got an audio frequency circuit dividers inside for better detail retrieval and coherent sound characteristics of bass, mids and treble. The pricing of this particular will be around at US$279 and it will be available in online stores.

20210803_143721_HDR.jpg

As I received this unit as a review tour unit. It doesn't have a packaging box at all but the IEMs are inside of a circular metal container along with eartips of three (3) different sizes and cable. The retailer version will have a beautiful drawn illustration of Rinko in the box and some add-on accesories like a Rinko IEM stand if you pre-order it.

20210803_143541_HDR.jpg

The included stock eartips for Bravery is actually a premium Azla Sedna clear eartips which are quite tacky that provides better insertion and fitting in the outer ear canal.

20210805_022030.jpg

Another one surprising feature of Bravery is its thick 6N OCC black clothed braided cable in 2-pin connector from a premium cable manufacturer, Hakugei. See Audio managed to partner up with them and Hakugei provided them with a custom cable specifically based on See Audio's specification.

20210805_021857.jpg

The shell of See Audio Bravery is made of high quality medical grade premium resin with a smoky and opaque black marble faceplate. The left side part of the shell has an engraved golden stylized See Audio logo similar to Eye of Ra and the right part has simple geometric design of a lotus flower. Its UIEM contour shell really fits snuggly in my medium size log holes and offer better sound isolation that blocks some external noise from the surrounding despite that I classify the size of this set as large ones. There is a vent hole in at bottom of 2-pin connector

20210803_143727_HDR.jpg

The scalability of See Audio Bravery is quite impressive as they are easy to drive from most media player sources such as DAPs, Smartphones at Laptops as it has an impedance rating of 18 ohms but scaling them up on audiophile-grade Hi-fi DAC/amps is even more better as it sound more fuller on its dynamic range and immersive reach on its audio spectrum.

20210805_022416.jpg

The tonality of this one as I describe is actually give me some confusion and dilemma on past few days on where should I put this one on my sound signature category so I decided to classify them as "warmish-neutral". It can be also classify as a slightly U-shape too, as it is a well-balanced sounding with good amount of bass, more linear yet weighty note on mids and a little bit smoothen with decent amount on airiness on treble region.

I will do a description and explain that characteristics on its each audio spectrum.

Lows/Bass:

As I expected from BA bass as I believe that it can't match the natural and impactul aspect of the bass quality dynamic drivers, but in this case of this particular set, It is quite astonishing as it delivers a quality bass that I really want. Punchy, authoritative and precise thumping. Its has good transient speed and decay. I feel some adequate amount of rumble in the sub bass region. It has a well-textured midbass as I can able to perceive its sustaining and consistent robustness. The impactful bass kicks that I want and the resonant and growl of bass guitar is well-executed and satisfactory well-done.

Mids:

The quality of mids is clean, has some warmth and an almost flawless organic tonality as I discerningly hear a well-textured vocal clarity on both genders that deliver crisp and detailed resolution. It is also well-segmented and separated from other musical instruments. When I say a well-textured mids, it is in between the lean and thicker weight note that it doesn't sound either lifeless nor bloated as it really affects the coherency but its remain sound well-rendered and abundant. percussive , rhythm and wind instruments sounds natural on this one too as you will hear cruchiness, shimmer and articulate resonances of the guitar, the sweet tone and mellow sound of a piano and impactful snare strikes. The timbre each vocals and instruments sound vibrant and natural.

Highs/Treble:

I can say that it has smooth, refinely textured treble (it is somehow perceive as linear and neutral to my ears.) And yet it can deliver a good amount of sparkle and detail retrieval as it still has shimmer to sum it up on the airiness reach of brilliance treble but somehow it has only an average extension in some instances. There is some peak on upper mids but the good news is that it doesn't have that annoying sibilance and the reason of the elevated uppermids is to add energy and crispiness on the presence part of treble. The cymbals and chimes sounds natural but as I said that it has an average extension. It has a faster decay on the shimmer of crashes that might be lacking on some trebleheads.

Soundstage and Imaging:

I describe the See Audio Bravery has an above average on width but it has good reach on depth. You will feel a sense of spaciousness on each layer and row as I can locate the precise location of the placement of each instruments and position of singer. I rate the score on spatial cues capability as an excellent one.

To sum up my conclusion of this review. Once again See Audio delivers another great set that will surely receive a positive response whoever planning to purchase this set in the future. I am confident that it will surely disrupt the $300 IEM price segment as it delivers one of the best balanced tonality, coherent and possess with good technicalities set in the recent release of some IEMs in the already saturated audio market that can traded blows on other well known competitors in this price range.

BGVP DN2: Capable But Forgotten
Pros: - Balanced and versatile sounding.

- Easy to drive on any sources such as smartphone, laptops, tablet, DAPs etc.

- Good, clean dynamic tonality.

- Has one of the best fitting IEM within its price range.
Cons: - The fake "Beryllium" driver that causes the whole controversy of this IEM (subjective)

- Questionable implementation on MMCX driver

- Can be too bright to treble sensitives on treble laden tracks.
20210626_154937.jpg

Greetings mates, I'm doing another IEM from BGVP here in Head-fi, The BGVP DN2. This particular set was released last year but due to some "controvery" of its marketing ad for being an erroneous and misleading, it was abruptly stopped its production but still sell some of the remaining stocks in some few selected markets.

20210626_154353.jpg20210626_154407.jpg20210626_154415.jpg

BGVP DN2 is a hybrid driver set-up IEM, It has asymmetrical oblong shape shell and made of CNC-milled aluminium. The hybrid set-up is consist of "Beryllium" dynamic driver and 1 custom BA which BGVP christened it as Phoenix. A Beryllium driver offers better faster transients response and lower distortion rating compare to other dynamic driver technology. The connector of this IEM is a MMCX to provide flexibility and more adjustable as you can can rotate them in 360°.

20210626_154937.jpg

The packaging box has a white colour in the front and back with black tinge on its sides. The front has a picture of the DN2 itself with Hi-Res audio certification at the left bottom and some basic specification and the address of the company at the back. The contents inside are the IEMs, a silver four(4)-core OCC SPC cable, 6 pairs of extra ear tips for vocals and bass for a usual three (3) different ear sizes, a pair of memory foam ear tips, a shirt clip, a velcro cable organizer and some paperworks like warranty card and a simple instruction manual in different languages.

Wearing the DN2 is quite comfortable as it fits well into my ear canal and have a decent isolation from outside noise.

The scalability of this IEM is very versatile as it can be easily driven well from most decent power sources such as smartphones, tablets and laptops.

The tonality of BGVP DN2 is a balanced, more on mildly U-shape tuning as it has good ample amount of bass, more linear mids and a hint of brightness on treble.

LOWS/BASS

The bass quality has punchy and adequate depth on its sub-bass aw I hear a good amount of a rumble. The mid-bass has an decent texture to provide an ample weigh tone for the sustaining and resonant bass kicks and decent warmth and vivrant plucking of a bass guitar. This will be a more substantial for listeners who wants a decent bass quality

MIDS

The mids of the DN2 is a slightly recessed but can still provide a clean, forward and good texture density that will provide a satisfactory and decent weight tone.Vocals on both genders are both balanced and well-densed to provide better resolution and detail fullness as it will blend it well on melody harmoniously. The male vocals are engaging and with harmonic intensity while the female vocals are emotive and well-defined on its articulation, fluency and pacing within on their respective octave ranges. The percussions, rhythm and wind instruments sounds sonorously and natural as I can distinctly tell the tonality and timbre between the rhythm, lead and acoustic guitar as it has the crunch, vibrancy and crisp of a lead and acoustic guitars while rhythm guitar has these warm and amicable feel, the piano has these fullness and mellow. Snares strikes are penetrating yet retains its precision and clarity.

HIGHS/TREBLE

The treble quality of this set has a bright, sparkling and good range airy extension. It has a capable occurrence on displaying the micro-details on most tracks. The cymbals, chimes and triangles has a good shimmer on this as they sound more organic with acceptable transience range.

SOUNDSTAGE AND IMAGING

The soundstage size of DN2 has an above average width with emphasis in depth. The vocals positioning are quite intimate on this one. The separation of instruments has sensing of space and imaging and layering has a good positional accuracy as I do a sweeping spatial panning in some tracks I can locate placements of instruments and vocals on each row.

As I conclude my review on this unit, despite of the controversy behind of this unit. It is still a very capable set that can provide a balanced sounding and most listener will appreciate its capability its tonal balance and decent timbre quality as one of the best sounding IEM in that price range.

wow, that is a really good sounding iem, didn't you just give me a recomendation on another comment section? :) then whats like this if your budget is 400$ i know the hidizs md4 ms4 but afraid the treble is not perfectly/effortlessly complimentary to the midrange, qoa gimlet might be dull, tipsy blue aurora lacks bass. not sure about nf audio if musical enough for me considering it might not have distinctly upfront vocals.. thanks man. also not sure about azla zwei and ns audio, maybe you can read the reviews and tell me what am looking at, most like this musical, full, engaging with no mids/treble overlap.

Greetings, mates and welcome to my IEM review here in Head-fi and I'll do a comprehensive review about this particular IEM from CVJ, The CVJ CSN.
.
20210604_141045_HDR.jpg

This is my fourth CVJ product review and you are already familiar here in this blog on how I have a positive reviews on their products as how their tuning were quite unique compare to its budget range contemporaries who were the still almost the same v-shape tuning. All of their line-up products are distinguishable on one another when it comes to tuning from the neutralish-bright sound sig of a CS8 to an almost flat sound sig of CVJ mirror.

20210604_141029_HDR.jpg
20210604_141036_HDR.jpg

This is CVJ CSN, It has a hybrid set-up of 5 balance armatures to handle the mids and highs and a 10mm mono dynamic driver on each side. This set cost around US$ 45 up to $48.

20210604_141208_HDR.jpg

The packaging box of CVJ CSN is a small rectangular shape that is identical to the latest packaging box of CVJ Mirror and CVJ CSE ( The older batches of CSN has that wooden jewelry box-style packaging which is one of my favourite in entry-level segment.) The contents are the pair of IEMs itself, a dark brown velvet pouch, a two (2) pairs of silicone eartips ( small and large), The black stock 4 core cable that you usually found on all CVJ's IEM with a 3.5mm termination jack, a vecro strap organizer and some paperworks like warranty card and instruction.

20210604_141811_HDR.jpg

The CVJ CSN shell is made of CNC-milled aluminium for durability with a matte-like finished paint job, It has a recessed 2-pin connector which is the best connector in my opinion as it is very stable and proven to be more sturdy. The overall design of the IEM housing is very natural and well- design as it ergonomically fits very well in my ear contours and its nozzle insertion in my lug holes fits snugly. It has also decent sound isolation from external noise source

20210604_142012_HDR.jpg

Scalability wise, CVJ CSN is a low impedance device that can be driven by decent source like smartphones, tablets, DAPs and Laptops/PC but it will be can benefited on better hifi DAC/Amps for more fuller dynamic range.

The sound signature of CVJ CSN has a balanced, mild U-shape tonality that leaning towards neutrality as it has a slight emphasis on lows, more unmalleable nature of mids and slight lift on highs.

I'll pointing out the sound characteristics of each part of audio spectrum of CVJ CSN.

LOWS/BASS:

The bass quality is tight, incisive and organic as it has that dynamic driver that provide better transients and fast decay. It has a decent presence of rumble as it penetrate well in the sub bass region. It has also a good midbass texture as bass guitar has that sustaining growl, and resonating full-bodied fret and the bass kicks has a good thudding. This is not a basshead's bass but it is quality bass that some audiophiles wants.

MIDS

The mids has a slightly recessed presentation on this one but it is still delivers a transparent and clean with a good amount of details. The vocals quality of both gender has a good texture and vivaciousness especially on high range female vocals as it is more affront, borderline aggressive nature and that well-define clarity on its timbre while the male has more smoother and organic presentation. The percussions, rhythm instruments and woodwinds has a good presence details, natural and articulateness. The plucking of guitars are lively and resonating especially on acoustic and lead guitars. The sound of a piano has that rich, full bodied and tangible mellowness. This is indeed has good sound characteristic on the mids frequency.

HIGHS/TREBLE:

I describe the treble of CVJ CSN has that bright and sparkle with a decent airy extension. Since it was driven by a pair of tweeter BAs, it has that hint of metallic timbre which might perceived it as unnatural and peaky especially on the upper mids. Good thing that sibilance is very minimal to none in this set as it still deliver a clean and decent resolving on micro-details. The crashing sound of cymbals strikes are decent enough but I still want more shimmer and vivid as it has still lack of extension range in my hearing perception.

SOUNDSTAGE AND IMAGING:

The width of soundstage is above average, with a decent depth and height, It has an adequate sense of separation of each instruments along with vocals. The imaging performs admirely as you pinpoint the spatial cues on panning of instruments' and vocalist's placement and positioning point, And there is no overlapping and smudging on a each segment on layering of instruments.

As I end my review here, There are a lot of contemporaries of CVJ CSN that shares the almost the same built, design and driver set-up cues but the tuning are just mediocre and unpolished, And this is where CVJ CSN separate themselves to their entry-level competitors which is their impeccable matured and balance tuning on their specific products. They know the basic fundamentals on catering and diversifying their products on different set of audio enthusiast consumers.

Greetings mates, Welcome to my another IEM review and we do some deep dive and comprehensive assessment of this particular pair set from new audio company from China, See Audio. I have some scant infos about this new audio company like they have some connection with QDC but based on the appearance and quality of their product, they indeed aiming at Chifi midrange segment.

20210430_133131.jpg

Let's just cut out the chase and here it is their product, The See Audio Yume. The See Audio Yume is a hybrid driver set-up, a single Dynamic Driver and Two (2) balanced armature Knowles driver. This is currently price at around US $165 - 170 in online stores.

20210430_132144_HDR.jpg
20210430_132154_HDR.jpg

The unboxing experience that I've feel is quite gratifying as this is one of the best appealing looking packaging box in IEM product and it is indeed smashing.

20210430_133105.jpg

The blue coloured packaging box itself is humongous for the pair of IEMs and its included accessories inside but it has a beautifully drawn anime character art as their mascot (her name is Rinko for audio enthusiasts who were interested in this anime waifu thing.) at the front and some graphs infos and specification at the rear.

20210430_133127.jpg

The contents inside of the box are the pair of IEMs, extra eartips (both silicone and memory foams) of different sizes, a circular shape metal case, an ample high quality 4-core litz cable and some paperworks like warranty card and basic instruction manuals..and I almost forgot to mention those stickers with a print of their cute anime product mascot.

20210430_132529_HDR.jpg
20210430_132515_HDR.jpg

The shell of See Audio Yume is incredible astounding and praiseworthy for its aesthetic choice. It is a medium-size smoky opaque black one, made of high quality resin with greenish glitter in the the front shell with stylized SeeAudio logo that looks like an Eye of Ra and 'see' on the left shell and 'yume' with right shell at the bottom in vertical way. There is a single vent hole on it for acoustic chamber purposes for "breathing" on diaphragm on the dynamic driver. It has those stabilizing fins that really sits well in my outer ear as it really give me the best possible fitting and sound isolation for blocking some external noises from the surrounding which I gave a perfect score of this one.

20210430_132801_HDR.jpg
20210430_132244.jpg

The scalability on See Audio Yume is very flexible one as it has a 32 ohms impedance and a decent sensitivity rating which can be driven sufficiently from most media player sources such as DAPs, smartphones, tablets and laptops. But a high quality Hi-fi DAC/amp will show the full potential of these gorgeous set even more as it will sound more fuller and loads of dynamics.

20210429_175528.jpg

The tonality of See Audio Yume for me is more on a balanced-"neutral" sound. I can even classify them as an audiophiliac reference tuning due to some mids and treble emphasis on their audio spectrum. This is actually one of my preferred sound signature and most of my current IEMs in my collection are in these kind of tuning.

20210430_132914_HDR.jpg

Lets get it on its sound quality on this set:

LOWS/BASS
As it has a newer dynamic driver technology, we expect a more robust dynamic sounding lows but it is quite an opposite, The bass quality is tight, precise and lightly impactful as it has decent reach of sub bass that I hear some faint of rumbling on it. The midbass has less textured density as the sound of the bass guitar lacks that growl and intensity of resonance especially on some plucking techniques that I'm familiar with as I find it aspirated and a little bit hollowed, And the bass kicks doesn't have that authoritative impact and pounding which this set sounds too soft and mellow. The silver lining on this is that it has fast with transient decays that a bass bleeding on other audio frequency is almost non-existent which is good one for critical listening. I categorised this kind of bass as "neutral bass" and Bassheads looking for bass quantity will certainly avoid this one.

MIDS

This is unequivocally the best part of Yume as it really hit my soft spot as a lover on anything else midcentric tuning. The mids is clean, has a well-defined texture and transparency. I just really amaze how the vocals on these set performs superbly. Both vocals of both gender sounds forwards and brim with details as I hear it similarly from good midcentric IEMs that I've currently have. The sounds of rhythm and percussion instruments sounds natural and vivacious as they are go along with the vocals harmoniously on the track (Even some black metal tracks sounds "clean" despite of they are recorded in lo-fi.) The acoustic and lead guitar shows its crisp, crunchiness and scintillating nature in every plucking on its string. Rhythm guitar sounds precisely and emotional as I feel its characteristic via chord progression even the complex ones. The piano tone sounds rich and vibrant for every note hammering hit to feel its resonance. Snare hits very pinpoint and has a good impact if it was mingle along with cymbals, they could create a good groove on it. This set will deliver the attributes of a well-refined mids that midcentrics are looking for.

HIGHS/TREBLE

The treble quality of this set has that sparkle, gleam and lively as I hear it. I certainly feel those peaks in that upper mids and presence sector but they are harmoniously mix well in the side of frequecy spectrum. It has a tidy extension and enough airiness on it though I still anticipating for more sizzle on it. The cymbals sounds decent and organic but I wish more shimmer just to the liveliness and energetic. Sibilance is absent or almost non-existent as hissing consonants are well-tamed. I can classify this kind of treble as a "safe treble" as you could hear comfortably without any harshness that causes ear fatigue in a long listening session. This could probably recommended to treble-sensitives who still want to hear a good treble quality.

SOUNDSTAGE and IMAGING

The soundstage of Yume is on average width and depth.Think that you are in a small to medium size bar venue that is enough for under 50 people. Its still has decent sense of space on it. Imaging is actually best part of this set as it really performs tremendously. The positioning and placement of its instruments are accurately discerning into my ears, as I try to do sweeping test on stereo panning to determine its spatial indications. Separation is distinctly commendable of this one that there is a noticeable gap between instruments and vocals. Layering has a substantial overlaying on distinction of instrument on each row. This is indeed has a good holographic presentation in my hearing senses.

As I conclude my review here, The See Audio Yume really outperform my expectations as it really hit hard my Achilles heel (Midcentric IEMs are my own version of Kryptonite). This set emerges as one of the top contenders in under $200 in 2021 to please the audio enthusiasts alike as it offers superbly tune and high quality product at decent price. But the question is how does it categorize itself? Is this a fun sounding or dry and analytical one? For me it has possessed some good attributes on both sides, enjoyable to listen it with an aspect of technical performance.
This is still not a perfect set that I'm looking for but its supposed flaws were outweighed by the good characteristics like tonality and structural value.

BGVP NS9: Love it or Hate it
Pros: - Warm tonality that majority of listeners will prefer this kind of tuning.
- Good Bass Dynamics.
- Premium built quality.
- Good set for vocals due its rich and brimming quantity on mid notes density.
- Good quantity of contents and accesories inside of the packaging box.
Cons: - Unoriginal design of shell (some FiiO and BQEYZ IEMs share some derivative aesthetics)
- Underwhelming treble quality.
- Finding a proper tuning filters will take a time and effort to figure it out.
- Changing eartips are quite complicated and needs a patience just to insert it properly.
-Changeable tuning filters has a very marginal effect to influence the improvements on some audio frequency ranges.

Hello mates, Welcome to my humble IEM review here in Head-fi once again. As usual, I do some explanation about my takeaways and comprehensive analysis on such a particular IEM product provided by audio companies as always as either I received or bought it with my own dosh. I have this new set from an audio company, BGVP. I am quite familiar on this particular company as I have tested their BGVP DMG and BGVP DM6 before some few years ago. BGVP is one of the few companies in Chi-fi world that delivers some of a well-tuned and good built quality products that was quite familiar and known in the audio community scene. A representative send me this review unit for my honest impression and a feedback on their product.

20210421_101311.jpg

This is BGVP NS9, their latest offering in over a hundred dollar (US) IEM segment, It is made of CNC-milled aluminium with three-vertical lines embossed at the front metal shell which offer sturdiness and premium feel. This IEM has a hybrid set-up, Two (2) Dynamic Drivers and Seven (7) Balanced Armature Drivers. One of the most interesting part here are the BAs that they have chosen on these, Sonion and Knowles. Most of the IEM afficionados are very familiar on these BA brands, they are both use from midrangers to top-of-the-line IEMs in more popular and premium audio brands. The other interesting one is the implementation of multi-crossover circuit boards that promises better separation on three parts of audio frequency spectrum. The connector of this one is a MMCX for flexibility and manageable ergonomics.

20210421_101333_HDR.jpg
20210421_101345.jpg

The packaging box has a white colour in the front and back with black tinge on its sides. The front has a simple illustration of the NS9 itself with Hi-Res audio, Knowles and Sonion logos at the bottom, And some specification and the address of the company itself at the back. The contents inside are the IEMs, a silver four(4)-core single crystal SPC cable, 6 pairs of extra ear tips for vocals and bass for a usual three (3) different ear sizes, a pair of memory foam ear tips, an IEM hard leather case, 2 pairs of tuning filters inside of a small opaque case (This one has a changeable screen tuning filters on their nozzle to improve some audio frequency based on your tuning preference.) and some paperworks like warranty card and a simple instruction manual in different languages.

20210421_101641_HDR.jpg
20210421_101612_HDR.jpg

The wearable rating of this IEM is very comfortable into my average-size ears as it fit snugly into my ear canal without any ear fatigue and irritability, surprisingly that these IEMs are a little bit weighty. It has a good isolation that partially block from external noise.

20210421_101919.jpg
20210421_102038.jpg

The tonality of BGVP NS9 is warm with smooth transition on treble. Let's dive even more and to divulge its sound quality.

20210421_101903.jpg

LOWS/BASS

The bass quality is punchy, impactful and vigorous. It has decent reach on sub-bass I hear the rumble distinctly that most bassheads' wants on their LFs. The mid-bass has an average weigh tone as its provide a good amount on slam and very minimal or absence of bass bleeds on other frequency spectrum. The transiency of bass decay is quite a worthy to praise for its average speed. Double bass kicks still manage to tend to avoid some unnecessary smudges on other instruments. Bass guitars still sound with even burp and has that growl characteristics on it as I feel that natural portrayal of plucking on it. This is the low frequency caliber on what basshead are looking as I can recommend this set to them with a brazen grin on my face.

MIDS

The mids of this one has forward and good texture density that will provide a full-bodied and sustaining mellowness along its frequency range. Both male and females vocals are both balanced and well-densed to provide better resolution and detail fullness as it will blend it well on melody harmoniously.

This is the part of the audio frequency which I find as an underwhelming and bland in my hearing perception. The treble is smoothen out on this one as I sense an undulating, less resolving on micro-detail and resolution even if I keep changing its tuning filters and eartips just to satisfy my part of being a treblehead but alas, no to avail. This set has an average or less treble extension with less airy due to some subdued peaks on the brilliance treble region. The cymbals strikes sounds tight and easily lose its sizzle and extension. Chimes and xylos are also lack of that glistening and luster characteristics. There are even tracks that I encounter that sounds like a gushing waterfalls especially on fast cymbals strikes that sounds hissy and quite soughing (Try Metallica's Jump In the Fire). The good aspect of this one that sibilance is absent on this one and treble sensitives will definitely enjoying its safe treble tuning.

SOUNDSTAGE AND IMAGING

The soundstage size of NS9 has an above average width with emphasis in depth. The vocals positioning are quite intimate on this one. The separation of instruments has sensing of space and imaging and layering has a good positional accuracy as I do a sweeping spatial panning in some tracks I can locate placements of instruments and vocals on each row.

As I conclude my review on this unit, this is good set for people who wants a comfortable listening experience yet delivers a decent audio quality. Trebleheaded ones will probably shun on this as they will find as dark and too mellow but a certain set of listerners like Bassheads and Midcentrics will definitely love its capability on delivering on their preferred tuning and natural tonality on it.

After trying the Shanling AE3 dual BA IEM, I ordered these. I figured more drivers and an actual crossover circuit should help the sound better. And the custom filters and tips should help, too. Hopefully I'll get them soon. When I do, I'll be back with an update.
liteon163
liteon163
Intermediate Update: I received these today. Listening straight out of the box with the default filter and tips, they sound quite good to me (via Modi 3 / Magni 3 Heresy Schiit stack). Very smooth with no range overpowering any other. I'll experiment with different filter and tip combinations until I find my preferred setup, then I'll burn them in for awhile.

More later.

They ended up being a bit "too much" for me. Bass is big and boomy, yet still sharp. Just a bit too prominent for me. Treble is quite forward, but in a frequently sibilant manner. The mids are still quite nice, though. These are OK, but I just felt that there would be something better out there for me.

500+ Head-Fier
BQEYZ Summer: Hot, Cozy It Up Tonality
Pros: - Easy to drive even to decent sources.

- Impactful and authoritative bass.

- A lightweight, High quality resin shell that fits comfortably and offers good isolation.

- Superb dynamic tonal bass quality.

- Quantity Soundstage, Quality Imaging.

- It has a high quality stock cable.
Cons: - Looks cheap to someone on first impression. ("Looks like a FH3 but in a cheap plastic shell")

- Limited colour scheme options to choose from.

- BQEYZ Spring 1 and 2 fans might find its mids and treble quality were somehow subdued and underwhelming on their liking. **

- Midcentrics will be probably to look somewhere else as they will feel some lacking on texture and less note density on mids frequency.**

- If you are a BQEYZ fan who loves their premium built CNC- milled aluminium shells on their IEM then this will be quite a shocking to you.
Hello mates and welcome to another review of an IEM that I've been interested and looking forward since it was announced a few weeks ago. I know that you are familar about BQEYZ products in Head-fi as I review their previous offerings like the resurgent popularity of their good old KC2 and their widely acclaimed Spring 2 as I give them a positive rating and highly regarded on their product offerings due to their build quality and mature audiophiliac tuning. As I have patiently waiting the release of this particular product from them and now I have obtain it and very excited to use them and listen to some of my favourite tracks. Now that I will share some of my subjective insights on this product.

20210407_164450.jpg

I'm here proudly to introduce their latest product, The BQEYZ Summer. As we know that their previous series were named after a type of season which is Spring and now we have the Summer. It seems that they do name their flagship product line based on seasons, maybe we will expect a Winter or Autumn on their upcoming, future products. We know that BQEYZ is a well-respected Chi-fi brand that gain a good reputation and admiration from audio enthusiast forums due their build quality, a different approach on their implementation of driver in their product like tri-brid which is unusual and very few Chi-fi companies implement them and you can only find them on from top-of-the-line audio brands and outstanding mature tuning but I digress.

20210407_164327_HDR.jpg

Anyways, let's go back to BQEYZ Summer IEM, This set is tri-brid driver consists of their custom BA, a new 13mm DD tech consists of polyurethane (PU) diaphragm and liquid crystal polymer (LCP) film and a new improved 5-layered Piezoelectric driver. This set-up is also found on its previous predecessors like Spring 1 and Spring 2 but this one is tune differently compare to its Spring cousins.
The new 13mm DD is quite interesting as these new material promises a faster bass transient, reduces excess vibration, improving signal process fidelity to be more sound natural and dynamic on both lows and mids, better rigid structural yet less weight. Then the custom BA by BQEYZ and the Piezo are both working in tandem to deliver a transparent, bright, cleaner responses on upper mids and treble. The current price offering of BQEYZ Summer is US$ 129.00 in online stores.

20210407_163511.jpg
20210407_163412.jpg

The Summer IEM shell is made of translucent and opaque high quality resin with some small amount of glitters that is robust yet very light. This is the lightest and less chunky shell among the BQEYZ products which is quite suprising on their decision to go in this direction, from premium looking, thick-shelled CNC-milled aluminium to feather weighted, minimalist design resin shell. This IEM has two colour options to choose from, the smoky black one and light blue one. The nozzle of this IEM has average length made of silver coloured brass and its fitting is deep enough and it is very cosy and comfortable to my ears as it sealed well on the outer ear canal which benefit for slight better sound isolation from external noise in the surrounding. As I observe this IEM, I found that it has a 3 pinhole-size vents on it for releasing air pressure from the inside.

20210407_164510_HDR.jpg
20210407_163647_HDR.jpg

The packaging of The Summer comes with medium-size, grayish sky blue cardboard box with small print of BQEYZ in top-left and a medium-size print "Summer" at the center. The contents inside are a pair of the IEMs, a high quality 8-core single crystal SPC white cable, 6 pairs of black and white silicon eartips in three standard sizes and all them are atmospheric eartips that you will found from their previous flagships ( The metal plate eartips organizer is not there anymore), a medium-size grey IEM leatherette case ( quite a downsize from Spring 2's leatherette case), a small brush for cleaning the nozzles, a velcro cable cable lace and some paperworks like warranty card and simple instruction manual.

20210407_164021_HDR.jpg

The stock cable of Summer feels very premium to touch as it is very supple and soft in my hand. It doesnt entangled and very sturdy for daily usage and longevity.

20210407_164035.jpg

The scalability of the Summer is very easy to drive and adequate enough as it has an average impedance rating of 32Ω and high sensitivity rating that can be driven through low powered source such as smartphones, tablets, PC and laptop though it will be more benefited on high quality hi-fi DACs and amp as it will show its true potential.

20210407_163511.jpg

The Summer has balanced, mild U-shape tonality with elevated and enhanced bass , balanced to linear mids and some lift and emphasis in treble.

20210407_164518_HDR.jpg

And now, I'll describe the sound characteristics of each audio frequency range based on my hearing perception.

LOWS/BASS:

I describe the bass of this one as very punchy and has well-defined power. It has precision, impact and intensity as it reveal the depth extension on its sub-bass which shows ardently slam and definitive roll and rumble. The midbass quantity has a thick density as it is still sounds balanced as it tends to avoid on being overly excessive that it might bleed on the mids. The bass kicks sounds life-like, pounding and sustaining while bass guitar sounds attested to its tune as it show its broady and resonant nature especially on fretless, tapping, slapping and picking techniques in rock and metal tracks. Bassheads will definitely love the bass quality of this one as it engaging and impactful.

MIDS:

The mids are slightly recess on this one but it is still deliver a forward, clean and still retain its linearity with some warmth on it. The texture density of vocals are on average quantity as both male and female will have different outcome based on their vocal range capacity. The male vocals are a little bit overshadowed compare to the females as the latter taken the advantage technicality due to some emphasis on the upper mids. The male vocals are more on a leaner side and in between or eclipsed in some tracks that percussive and rhythm instruments are more prominent but still retains its resolving details and clarity that harmoniously mix well on the track. The female vocals are more lively and transparent as it show more details and etherealness in the mix. I feel the particularity of high octave vocal range as sonorous and resounding. The rhythm and percussions instrument are even more eminent and distinguishable as I feel the snares hits very intimate and natural. The guitars (both electric and acoustic) sounds more refined and crunchy with tons of detail and air on it as I hear it more convincing toward natural. The piano keys sounds rounded and pleasant. The BQEYZ Summer somehow deliver decent quality on mid segment as it still retain its smooth and precisely characteristic.

HIGHS/TREBLE:

The treble quality of this one is leaning towards bright but somehow I felt some smoothen part (toning down some peaks) somewhere in presence sector on treble region just to avoid the harshness and sibilance. Despite of some soft refining on upper mids/lower treble, it still has that sparkle, clarity and show some good amount of detail retrieval. It still has an airiness and a good extension as I still hear that quality of cymbals strikes as it is convincing to be a natural sounding, snappy as tersive and has that speedy transcient. This will be have a good rating or passable mark by trebleheads and enough to be appreciated by treble-sensitives who still look for a good treble quality in their tracks but still depends on their tolerance.

SOUNDSTAGE AND IMAGING:

This is truly one of the strongest points of Summer. It has that expansive wideness and depth of soundstage as if you will feel that you're in big concert hall ( they are even wider than KC2 and Spring 2). The imaging is superb and highly commedable on this one as I can hear it clearly and accurately to determine the directional panning and dynamic signals, pinpointing the placement of instruments and vocals and sensing the spacing and separation on each instrument and the layering is even precise and detailed in each row. This kind of representation on this technicality give me some spacious, 3d-holographic feel vibe.

As I put my verdict here, BQEYZ Summer offers a different tonality flavour compare to its predecessors, This is indeed very impressive on their part despite of almost the same tri-brid set-up from their previous flagships, BQEYZ managed to overhaul on it to sound distinctly and have a contrasting tonal character. If your looking for a set that is fun and musical tuning then this is what you are looking for. A high-end balanced sounding IEM at affordable and decent price.

BQEYZ Spring 2: Magnificent Tonal Assasain
Pros: - One of the best sounding IEM in under $200 price range.

- Balanced and natural sounding as it shows its versatility and flexibility to all genres that I played with.

- Exquisite premium build quality

-Best midcentric IEM on its class with lesser compromise on other range of audio spectrum.

-Excellent retrieval on micro-details.

-Good airy treble.

- Sufficient accesories inside the packaging box.

- Gorgeous 4- core thick Litz premium cable.

- Good values on its technicalities.

- Easy to drive on devices with decent Hi-Fi DACs.
Cons: - Bass is just of an average quality.

- Acutely treble sensitives might find it as too sharp and a little bit harsh on their liking as it is bright one due to airy and exceedingly detail capabilities of Piezoelectric drivers.

- There are some competitors in current throng audio market on its price range that might offer even better technicalities.

- Average fitting that doesn't isolate well from external noise.

CVJ Mirror: The Flat Contender on Competitive Market
Pros: Almost flat neutral sounding, Superb vocal clarity, Treble quality for trebleheads.
Cons: Not for Bassheads ( Yeah, as usual for in-house CVJ tuning sound sig)
Low tolerance on treble sensitives on treble will probably outright dislike this one.
Good day mates, Once again I would like to introduce to you again a product from CVJ, The CVJ Mirror.
20210203_164345_HDR.jpg

The CVJ Mirror is a 6 hybrid driver set-up, 2 Balanced Armatures (30095) and 1 Dynamic Driver on each side. Its price range is around US$ 50.00 on online stores. This IEM has an almost flat, neutral sound signature with a little bit of bright yet still delivers an even and smoother treble.

20210203_164543_HDR.jpg

The packaging box is identical to their entry- level sibling, The CVJ CSE. It has simple box with yellow and black cover on its cover. Its contents inside contains of the IEMs itself, 2 pairs of ear tips (small and large), A typical 4 core stock black cable that you will find it on CVJ and TRN, a velcro lace cable organizer, some paper works ( instruction manuals and warranty card) and velvet pouch.

20210203_163812_HDR.jpg

The build quality of this IEM is good, it has a unique shape either a tear drop or leaf-like contour, made from aluminium shell which screams durability and sturdy built. It has a matte-finished coating on it which feels less slippery to hold. The size of this IEM is quite compact that it fits to all ear sizes.

20210203_163848_HDR.jpg

Here are my detailed descriptions on its tonality and tuning.

LOWS/ BASS

The bass quality of this IEM is on a punchy soft side as some of listener will perceive it as neutral bass but still retain its texture. It has very faint sub bass rumble with some emphasis on midbass region. Bassheads will be frowned upon the bass aspect of this IEM due its lack of quality bass that they are looking for.

MIDS

The mids of this one is clean, smooth and
well-delineate. It has balance density of it. The balanced texture of vocals of both female and male are very refined and naturally represented. The sound of rhythm and percussions instruments are more pronounce and detailed especially on acoustic guitars, piano and drums. You will feel the crunchy and crisp sound of acoustic and rhythm guitar, It has good timbre on each instrument with a sense of cohesiveness. Midcentrics would probably love the density quality of the mids of this one and I can assure it as I am also a midcentric.

HIGHS/TREBLE

The treble quality is leaning on bright side,well-detailed, sparkling and clarity of it.There's an emphasis on upper treble region that will produce a shimmer and a little bit edgy. The presence of micro-details is exemplary. It has good extension in the end of brilliance region as it has an airy sound. There are has some occurances of sibilance on some tracks that has very hissing vocals .I can hear the strikes on cymbal sounds very authoritative and life-like sound yet a splashy one on some other tracks that I've tried. There are some tracks that will show some hint of a little speck of tinniness on its spectrum that some will perceived as metallic but it doesn't matter to me as I want a raw sounding on the strikes on brass cymbals as closer to realism that I've heard on metal gigs that I'm attending.Trebleheads will even agreed that this one will a choice for them.

SOUNDSTAGE and IMAGING

It has an above average soundstage which I still considered it as wide, and its height is more quantified than its depth. The imaging is adequate as the sense of panning quality of instruments can be pinpoint its location in room space but its layering is quite impressive. The separation of each instrument has a decent spacing just to have a sense of timbre.

As I put my thoughts on this review, This IEM is one of the best neutral sounding out there in a very competitive current market of audio gears within its price range (US $50.00 price segment) that I can highly recommended it to fellow audio enthusiasts to purchase it or even a good add-on to IEM collectors due to their unique look and finished. This is an IEM that can be proudly recommended to midcentric and treblehead like-minded audiophiles that will put a smile on their faces.

CVJ CSE: Genre Versatility
Pros: Good Bass, Forward Mids, Smooth Treble, Friendly to most popular genre, Good fitting on ears.
Cons: Average Soundstage, Stock cable need to replace.
Hello, mates and welcome once again to my audio review page, I would like to introduce to you the CVJ's entry-level product, The CVJ CSE.

The CVJ CSE was released 2 years ago in Mainland China and this is cost around US $13.00 (Php P630 - P660) as it was their cheapest and affordable IEM in their product line. And now they have decided to release it on international market last year.

CVJ CSE is a hybrid set-up IEM with 2 drivers, 1 balanced armature for mids to highs frequency and 1 Dynamic Driver for Bass. It has a U-shape sound signature that is more versatile and pleasing to all music lovers, from casual listeners to audiophiles.

Then lets talk about the packaging box and its contents. The packaging box is typical one that you will found in most Chi-fi products, It has a pair of IEMs with medium tips , 2 pairs of extra tips (small and large), a 4-core OFC black stock cable that similar to TRN's, a velvet pouch, velvet pouch, some paperworks like warranty and instruction manuals and a velcro lace cable organizer. To be honest, I still prefer their older jewelry box-style for better unboxing experience but I understand the costing and probably unavailability.

Then lets talk about the size and build quality of the IEMs itself. It is medium size and it was a clear polycarbonate resin and it is a well-made and a good built quality. The outer shell design reminds me of that Fiio IEM, The FA1.The wearing comfort on this one fits well to my ears as it insert snuggly into my outer ear canal that I can wear it for a long time.

And now, here's my description on its audio quality:

Lows/ Bass
The lows/bass has a very faint presence of sub bass, there's an elevation on mid bass region that I can describe it as little bit boomy that it might cause some bass bleeds on mids in some tracks like Hip-Hop but still you can determine the sense spacing between the lows and mids.

Mids
Mids are linear with sprinkle of warmth and they are forward in the mix, the vocal presentations are really competent, female vocals are more open and well-emphasis in the range and male vocals on the middle neither laid back nor upfront. The percussions are full and vivaciously sounding, The sound of string instrument like guitars has good crunch and crisp on it.

Highs/ Trebles
The treble quality of this one is more on the bright side, it has a good details and clarity, There are a little bit presence of sibilance in some tracks especially on vocals are more expressively on hissing consonants. The crashing of cymbals and the sound of chimes are define enough as extension range is average and controlled thats it is less airy.

Soundstage and Imaging
It has average size soundstage as it is quite narrow in my liking and its also in average height. The imaging is good as the panning of the placement of instruments can be hear in such room space. The separation of instruments are acceptable in spacing and no sign of messiness and cloudy.

As I end my review here, All I can say is that CVJ CSE is an IEM that can be a good alternative to more popular competitors that were hype and raved by some audio enthusiasts and reviewers like The KZ ZSN pro and its derivatives and BLON-03 as I can vouch this one as it has a pleasing sound that equally capable or even better to them.It is also very versatile to most popular genres like pop, rock, metal, hip-hop and jazz.I can definitely recommend this one to the starters on audio hobby.

CVJ CS8: The Unique Tuned One
Pros: Neutral-bright sound signature, light punchy bass, clean and detailed mids and shimmering treble.(And a gorgeous box.)
Cons: Not for bassheads, Occasional occurences of a little hint of sibilance in some tracks.
Good day, mates! Here's my initial impression and review of the latest offering from CVJ, The CVJ CS8.
20200804_210023.jpg

First of all,I would like to thank Ms.Janet Hu for providing this such pretty damn good item for reviewing purpose and to share some insights to other fellow audio enthusiasts out there.
CVJ is a new audio company based on Guangdong, China that offers well-tuned products for domestic and international markets.
The unboxing experience of this product is a pleasant one as it really feels that it is premium unboxing experience. The contents inside are the IEMs, 2 pairs of extra silicon eartips (small and large sizes), a velcro wire holder, a 4-core OFC cable and a brown velvet pouch. The box itself is a solid one like a jewelry box.

20200804_155230.jpg

The IEM is an 8 hybrid driver (3 balanced armature and 1 DD on each side). It is made of resin with metal faceplate, its construction and structural design is very sturdy and solid that it could handle wear and tear usage. The 0.75 mm recessed 2- pin connector is my preferance as I really abhorred the QDC/C-type style connectors due to its questionable and structural issue such as suddenly cracking on its sleeve.
20200804_155541.jpg

My initial experience of this IEM is very satisfying that I could tell its sound signature and its individual audible character in every audio spectrum based on my subjective hearing perception.
The lows/bass has a soft punchy, light thumping feeling that this is what some audio enthusiasts called a neutral bass.A very clean presentation and fast decay in resolution.Bass guitars fretting is detail enough to feel its reverb,The double bass drum is satisfying enough to feel its boomy presence.
The mids is the prominent feature of this IEM as it shows its meaty, clean and transparent nature. The vocals are forward in the mix especially on females. There's a hint of a little bit of sibilance and stridency on some tracks. The instruments sounds really great and natural to me as its reveal its intricate details and clarity such as the crunchiness of electric guitars and natural and emotional reverb of a piano piece.
The Highs/treble is somewhat bright and slightly more forward in my hearing perception as it reveals its microdetails but it doesn't have this some annoying, artificial shrilly metallic sounding that you will found on most entry level hybrid( Im looking at you, KZ ZSN pro and TRN ST1.)The sounds of cymbals and triangles are accurately portray thus it is a natural sounding.
The soundstage width is above average but it compensates with its dynamic depth range. The imaging is a good enough to know the positioning of instrument placement.
As I will put my conclusion here,That this IEM has a better place in current audio market as myriads of competitors out there offers the same V-shaped tuning, strident uppermids tuning as it offers a different approach and offer a distinctive tuning to other audio enthusiasts who wants to try and explore other sound signature. If you are leaning to bassy sound sig then I cannot recommend this one.

BQEYZ KC2: Indeed The Hidden Gem
Pros: Made from sturdy material for premium build quality on its competitive price.Balanced to neutral sound signature, Precise punchy bass, Well-tuned natural mids, forward mids on female vocals, good instrument separation, spacious soundstage and bright and airy treble.
Cons: Not for bassheads who wants more deep visceral lows, typical 4-core stock cable that you will find similarly on TRN, wishing for more depth on its soundstage.
This IEM is indeed a hidden gem from 2018,a superbly tuned masterpiece for audio enthusiasts out there. A balanced sounding as most online reviewers describe its sound signature,I can say it as a "balanced to neutralish" in my hearing perception.A tight bass ,Clean presentation on mids, separation of instruments has a good spacing, vocals are both natural and well-textured in both male and female.not an even a hint of sibilance. The highs/treble is slightly elevated as it crisp and well-details on brilliance region that gives airyness yet it doesn't sound strident or harsh. The micro-details were delineated. The cymbals sounds natural and doesn't sound splashy as most treble leaning (bright) and V shaped IEMs are susceptible in this kind of characteristic.Imaging is one of the strength of this one for pinpointing accurately the positionings of instruments and the soundstage is wide and spacious and the depth is just average(wishing for more depth.)
Tested in my LG V20 and LG G7 (both normal impedance mode and force aux mode.)
