Cons: Only 3,5mm plug (no adapters like in the OH700VB)
As I was already very enthusiastic about the current OH700VB model, I now wanted to get to know Oriveti's flagship model, the OV800. These are my impressions of this model.

I love reading your flavorful reviews :) These high-end Oriveti sets are so appealing because the company clearly has a distinct idea about tuning, but then I read on, and the tech isn't as impressive, and that's such a let-down. Btw, you write that you're a pianist -- are you by any chance a professional musician?

Headphoneus Supremus
Pros: > Extends beautifully from the lowest DD sub-bass to the highest EST visceral treble
> Large soundstage with wonderful layering and pinpoint imaging
> A strong proposition from an overall tuning perspective that sits way below the kilobuck sets from a price standpoint, but competes rather well
> Handmade in Poland and comes with 2-year warranty
Cons: > Upper energy can get a bit hot at times, caution advised for some genres (also mitigated with warmer sources or R2R, my best results with the Hiby RS8)
> The shells have long nozzles which might be uncomfortable for some
> They need decent power to shine, not the easiest to drive

With more sensitive IEMs, do the first steps of the volume knob allow me to get a very low sound or does it start at a relatively high volume?I ask this because I bought the xduoo xp2 pro and when I used it with sensitive IEMs the initial volume was already high, which I didn't like

Another question, is there any background noise in the 3.5mm output? Or is it only noticeable at 4.4mm?
Redcarmoose

@rsandrade90,
No, there are a boatload of clicks on the volume wheel. The volume control is the single nicest feature here, if I was to name one. Remember you can use the GO blu two ways. As a wired Dongle no noise. In BT mode I could hear a tad, but only when music was not playing. Maybe a tiny bit during quite spots......not really a deal breaker for me personally. You will have it in both 3.5mm and 4.4mm balanced, though most reviewers seem to notice more in 4.4mm. I feel it is really mainly noticeable in 4.4mm?

rsandrade90
As I'm only going to use the 3.5mm output I don't think I'll have any problems with noise.
It's really good to find out about the volume control, because sometimes listening to my IEMs at home, it's very quiet and I can listen to music at very low volumes...
That was my biggest concern, using very sensitive IEMs with the go blu

Pros: Looks really interesting
Modular Shell design is fun
Cons: Niche Tuning (IMHO)

100+ Head-Fier
Pros: Sounds great after lighting them up with a strong amp. Bottom end likes power and the top end will settle down if the source isn't weak. Beautiful bass for 60's and 70's R&B and soul, lounge, old jazz.
Cons: I lost 2 martinis worth of dough on this pair. Pretty meh for metal. Not a good pair for heavy orchestral works but will shine for baroque, choral, and chamber music with a bit of volume.
