It really is a well-rounded style of playback in the end? Which by reading the sound character, you may think only EDM or Rock would be its talent? But it was very hard to find anything it didn’t play well. Just the same as being reactive to source. The bass when present gets shown for what it is, yet also amplified! Classical is great, though I’m not sure about how a vocal enthusiast would take it? You can totally hear the character of the vocals, but I’m not sure how the vocal enthusiast would like the lack of forward positioning? Both bad and good recordings are great!
Great review, I like the writing style and the dynamic ideas. Thank you very much!
As a Bass-Lover and proud owner of the ISN H40s, I would love to hear this twist.
Nice one......choosed H50 lately instead of EST50 ,(blind choise), which proved to be a true gem as well.....as an ISN true believer have to admit that those ISN guys are so trully devoted to their work ,challenging this way Hi End established audio companies for years now...imho ISN as a brand is the epitome of VFM in todays monitor market.
P.S. (DCD music library is a must as far as ciritical listening goes...)
Thank-you. The playback subtlety and finesse did open my eyes, almost like a Head-Fi inside a Head-Fi. A group of highly devoted listeners curious with what ISN comes up with! I hope to review the H50 soon, glad you’re into it! Cheers!
