ISN Earphones impression thread. New ISN H60!

I just finished my review of the EST50 after about 200-300 hours of listening. Its my first "proper" review, would appreciate some feedback :) Overall I can say that they went above and beyond my expectations and I can wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a fun but highly...

Review by 'Idontevenknowmyname' on item 'ISN EST50'

Introduction The EST50 focuses on whats most important, musicality. Its simply a love letter to music. The organic, meaty playback combined with EST goodness creates one hell of a perfect tuning. While these may not be for everyone, when they hit you there is no going back. Its hard to imagine...

ISN Earphones impression thread. New ISN H60!

Those are next on my list. The Clarion Tri give me the best seal out of every tip I tried so far. I forget the EST50 are in my ears. Its super comfy and fits my ear canal perfectly. Interested in how the Liqueur compares, how are they in terms of comfort? They definitely sound very interesting...

ISN Earphones impression thread. New ISN H60!

@DrewVz Just got the Clarion Tri tips. You were right, thanks for the recommendation! Very interesting what they do to the EST50, the sound is much more "raw" and on some tracks it can actually get a bit too spicy in the treble region. I read that these mute bass a bit, not in the slightest with...

LETSHUOER S12 - Next big planar? (Impressions & Discussion)

These are the only planars I tried, so take my comment with a grain of salt. Its not that bad on most tracks, but at times I find instruments and voices to have a slightly artificial touch. The Tanchjim Origin looks interesting but I think I am happy for now :) It is indeed, if you love a...

LETSHUOER S12 - Next big planar? (Impressions & Discussion)

Also very annoying to me, which is why I haven't been participating. Since I got my ISN EST50 about a week ago, I have not been listening much to the S12 Pro. But I gotta say, for the money they still offer a very detailed and nice sound. They are just not that comfy for me and the planar timbre...

ISN Earphones impression thread. New ISN H60!

I watched "The Fifth Element" yesterday with my EST50 (Hiby R5 ii). What an experience! This really takes "cinema in your ears" to a different level... The bass gives a subwoofer like theater experience while the imaging provides pin-point accuracy. Every launch, explosion, shot and even the...

ISN Earphones impression thread. New ISN H60!

After some more tip rolling on the EST50 I can understand why someone would call them a bit too bassy :D Spinfit CP145 - Stage feels more boxed in, the bass is definitely elevated compared to the W1. They are by far the most comfy but not my favorites sound wise Green Tips (the ones it came...

Thanks a lot, that`s a great starting point! Silver Cat and Xinhs sound like the right fit for me. But honestly, what are those sale prices?! They won`t go back to full price after the timer runs out right? In the eu such a price foolery would be illegal :D

Which cable would you recommend for giving them a bit more mid-bass? Or just give them more bass overall? I like the signature they have now and ain`t sure if the vocal cable would be the right one for me, although it is highly recommended. I only have the S12 Pro cable around at the moment...

I`m falling in love with some of my old tracks all over again :) They render older recordings of rock music so beautiful... I love this treble! Never heard an iem with EST drivers and I am just amazed at the detail and sparkle in the upper region. It just sounds so lively. Not a hint of...

Don`t get me wrong, on the right tracks the bass is very nice! I just listened to some Psytrance and the bass floored me :D Just hope I won`t lose the lovely top end, I like the edge it has now!

Just received my EST50 :) I posted my early impressions in the ISN-Thread: https://www.head-fi.org/threads/isn-earphones-impression-thread-new-isn-neo-3.920551/post-18027863

ISN Earphones impression thread. New ISN H60!

Just received my EST50, here are my early impressions :) So far its not exactly what I expected, although not bad at all! I expected them to be bass monsters after looking at the reviews but so far they sound rather balanced to me haha The highs are very present and crisp, just how I like it...

My EST50 will arrive tomorrow if everything goes to plan. My excitement is through the roof :) So just fyi -> 7-9 days indeed seems to be the standard time for tax-inclusive to eu, which is pretty good tbh. Tracking was also flawless!

Since I also ordered for the first time recently: tax-inclusive is a must for avoiding taxes. Downside is, that it may take longer than express shipping. I actually paid for express (1$ on an order of 400+) and they sent it out using the tax-inclusive shipping. Not mad because it should arrive...

LETSHUOER S12 - Next big planar? (Impressions & Discussion)

Probably there is/should be a difference in sound between Hip-Dac 1st gen and 3rd gen. Like I said, the Hip-Dac doesen`t sound bad at all. Its just not the best combination for me with the S12 Pro :)

LETSHUOER S12 - Next big planar? (Impressions & Discussion)

I got the first edition of the Hip-Dac and with GTO-Firmware they sound too thin/bright for me, so I was using 7.3 (C&C) lately. That gave them a nice organic sound but the pressure buildup in my ears made it very uncomfortable when listening to louder volumes. Depending on the track and X-Bass...

Thanks for the detailed response, sounds like I made the right choice (I like some extra spice up top) :) This pair is mainly for fun (electronic music, hip-hop and rock) and your description sounds like it will be perfect for my use case

Because your comment about them not being warm/slightly harsh in treble reassured me of my choice (since the review from @Bosk made them sound pretty interesting for me) :)

I`m confident about that :D Just to clarify though, I got the EST50 and not the Quattro

Interesting, feeling better about my purchase now :) When I read that review first I was getting doubts if I should have got these instead but I guess for bass the EST50 is still the superior choice. @Bosk since you also got the EST50, how do the two compare? Would you say they are in the same...
