    AXEL GRELL HEADPHONE

The OAE1 sounds unusual for headphones. Especially when the listener is trained to listen with traditional headphones. The reason is, that the phase response at the entrance to ear canal (EEC) is the one of a sound source not in a 90° (270°) angle to the head, but in an angle of 0° to 60° (300°)...

    AXEL GRELL HEADPHONE

The OAE1s have a 4 pole 2.5 mm socket on each side. Both work as inputs for left and right balanced signals. The sockets are connected via a 4 pole over the head cable. A single sided 4 pole cable can be plugged in on the left or on the right side. When using a double sided 2 pole cable put the...

The single sided cable with XLR 4 pole connector is available separately. The ear-pads, the upper and lower headband cover (padding) are user exchangeable. The drivers are user exchangeable as well for those users who know how to handle a soldering iron ;-)

Sorry for that. Hear, see and feel what you get. Compare! It is not 4999$, not 2699$ and not 1799$. But about 500$. The tuning is final. When you don't like HD 650s it might be too much. Try the OAE1s at place that is not as noisy as CanJam NYC 2024! Next year we try to use a sound insulating...

It is metal where it make sense. (slider, yoke, grids, headband spring) and plastic (PA 88 and ABS) where it makes sense: (connecting substructure).

    AXEL GRELL HEADPHONE

The mechanical structure of the OAE1 is designed for maximum robustness. The samples on display were built from parts that arrived in Germany with the mechanical design engineer on the Wednesday before the show. The parts for the yoke and headband slider were the first from a tool that had just...

Former Sennheiser engineer Axel Grell made a $200 pair of ANC true wireless earbuds - the TWS/1

Hi Headpower, you are right, for IOS it is only AAC and SBC. The AAC codec used with an iPhone sounds better to me than the same song with an AAC codec from an Android phone. I hope Apple will come with something better than AAC in the future.

I don't think that this gives a better picture as peaks are much better perceived than dips. The smoothing makes it all equal. Hi Crinacle This is strange! I've personally measured all samples that where sent out to reviewers. They were all good! On the bottom of the battery case is a laser...

Each headphone I've created so far has a sound character of its own. But there are some things that are important for me: - tonal balance - small tolerances - low THD - enough low bass - no boomy bass - enough heights - no hissy heights - clear details - no annoying details - good soundstage -...
